Product Information
This 2 hook lock is primarily used on composite doors and features a 44mm wide faceplate in either white or brown. Please note that this lock is an unsprung double spindle version and should only be used with sprung handles. The associated handles below are all sprung.

Undo the screw or screws (depending on the model) in the latch to remove. Reverse, reinsert and replace screw(s).

How do I Identify a uPVC Door Lock

If you've never replaced a lock before it can be tough to even know where to start! But to make things easier, we've put together a guide on how to identify your uPVC Door Lock. Follow the steps below to correctly identify the lock that you need, so you can order the right item first-time.

  1. Is there a manufacturers name stamped on the lock strip? Example Answer: Avocet
  2. What is measurement A ? (Known as the backset) Measure from the front of the metal strip backwards to the centre of the keyhole
  3. What is measurement B ? (Known as the PZ/Centres) Measure from the centre of the keyhole to the centre of the square spindle hole
  4. What locking points are there on the strip? Example Answer: 2 Hooks and 2 Rollers
How to Identify a uPVC Door Lock diagram

The 3 common measurements required to help identify your upvc door handle would be to measure A,B & C from the image below.

  1. The A Measurement Measure from the centre of the keyhole to the centre of the handle
  2. The B Measurement Measure from the centre of the top screw point to the centre of the bottom screw point
  3. The C Measurement Measure the overall length of the handle from top to bottom.
  4. The D Measurement Measure the overall width of the handle
How to Identify uPVC Door Handles diagram

The 3 common measurements required to help identify your upvc door handle would be to measure A,B & C from the image below.

  1. The A Measurement Measure from the centre of the keyhole to the centre of the handle. Please measure this on both the internal & external side as these measurements may vary if the handles are offset.
  2. The B Measurement Measure from the centre of the top screw point to the centre of the bottom screw point
  3. The C Measurement Measure the overall length of the handle from top to bottom
  4. The D Measurement Measure the overall width of the handle
How to Measure a Lever pad Door Handle diagram

To determine the size, measure 'A' then 'B' and combine the two to get your overall length.

  1. The A Measurement Example: 40mm
  2. The B Measurement Example: 45mm
  3. Cylinder Example: 40/45
